Named after the term 'Vihara' which means a Budhisht place of worship or Buddhist monastery, Bihar exemplifies the purity and richness of Indian culture and history. It is located on the fertile banks of holy river Ganga, in the eastern part of India. This landlocked state shares its borders with Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Nepal.
