
Baga is a small but perfect beach sandwiched between two more beaches, Colva on one side and Calangute on the other. Unlike Calangute, it is far for infuriating crowd. The Baga beach is famous for fishing as many travelers from distance places marinate under the sun with all their fishing gears. A small creek flows into the sea at the top of the village, below a broad spur of soft white sand, from where a dirt track strikes across an expanse of paddy fields towards Anjuna.
Sights And Activities
Water SportsVariety of water sports including parasailing, jet skiing and boat trips are offered about halfway along the beach between Calangute and Baga by Altants Water Sports and H2O Tripper.
Ayurvedic Natural Health Center
The Ayurvedic Health Center is just 5km from Calangute beach, offers various residential packages that include accommodation and courses. There are variety of courses available such as reflexology, aromatherapy, acupressure and yoga. In addition there are treatment with herbal medicines and a free consultant also available.
Goa Dive Center
Goa Drive Center runs by a German that offers various trips and courses on diving.
Kerkar Art Complex
The small art complex exhibits many colorful paintings and sculptures of local artist Subodh Kerkar. There is also an auditorium, restaurant and small hotel inside the complex. The open air auditorium is specially for the classical Indian music concerts.
Nightlife In Calangute
Calangute and Baga nightlife is legendary. There are plenty of bars and pubs scattered around the place. The famous West End Club, on a hilltpo just outside Saligao 4km inland from St Anthony. Compare to Calangute, Baga nightlife is more happening. Baga nightlife is attributed to only one club Tito's.
