The beach is not same popular as Calangute but the serenity draw many tourists. Not only the lusty beach but Portuguese Fort Aguada is also add glory to the place. The sandy coastline stretches to Calangute beach, a busy and commercial center. The place is a good escape from the travelers who just want to spend some good time in a ghostly serenity. The place is also a nice place to indulge in water sports.

Fort Aguada Beach

Over the years, the developing hotels and resorts are sprouting and during peak season the few vestiges of authenticity Goan culture that remain here are drowned in a deluge of Kashmiri handicraft stalls, luridly lit terrace cafes and shops crammed with postcards and beachwear. The "River Princess" is also an interesting sights from Candolim beach. The place has also some superb places to eat and drink. There are many restaurants on the main road and side roads leading to the beach. Though the prices are little higher than south Goa but it worth of it.

The ruins of the fort can be reached by road; follow the main drag south from Candolim as it bears left, past the turning for the Taj Holiday Village, and keep going for around 1km until you see a right turn, which runs uphill to a small car park.

This small but exquisite Chapel lies on the shore of Aguada. It is named after St. Lawrence, who was the patron saint of sailors of Goa. Every year on August 10, a feast day is been celebrated in the Chapel. A picturesque scenery can be seen from here of a beautiful mansion by the name of Placio Aguada against the sea.
