Location: Kutch is located at the western coast of India in the state of Gujarat.
How To Reach: Bhuj, the main town of Kutch has daily flights from Mumbai. Kutch Express is available from Bombay via Ahmedabad upto Gandhinagar. From Gandhinagar one can get many transportation. State transport buses are available from Ahmedabad.
Where To Stay: There are number of decent hotels available in Kutch.
When To Go: October to early April.
A landscape with salty marshlands and no vegetation. This district of Gujarat has rugged and fiery beauty. The tortoise shaped land is flat and dry but the villages dotted throughout the dramatic, inhospitable landscape feel like pre partition Pakistan and the tribal villagers produce some of India's finest folk textiles, glittering with exquisite embroidery and mirror work. The climate is always wet and dry and it is literally doused under water during the rains. Kutch is second most largest district in India after Leh. Tourism activities are desert safaris by jeep, camel rides, shopping for the unique local handicrafts and sighting the rare wild ass found in the little Rann of Kutch sanctuary. People who are inhabited here are nomadic, semi nomadic and artisan tribes who contribute to the rich folk art.

Narayan Sarovar Temple In Kutch City
The temple is established near the five sacred lakes and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. For Hindu pilgrims, the place is very sacred place and ancient significant place. It is one of the five holy ponds in India. In this there are temples of Shri Trikamraiji, Laxminarayan, Govardhannathji, Dwarkanath, Adinarayan, Ranchodraiji and Laxmiji.

Bhadreshwar Jain Temple in Kutch City
The most ancient temple of Bhadrawati, is also one of the sacred places of Hindus. Once ruled by King Sidhsen in 449 BC who renovated the place and later ruled by Solankies, who changed it to Bhadreshwar. Koday Bohter Jinalaya in near by village is sacred place of Jain pilgrims. The place is adorned with 72 Jain gods statues.

Dholavira in Kutch City
This is ancient Harappan sites in the Khadir island of Kutch. The ruins are best known for fantastic planning and vastness of area and deposit. It is fourth largest arrangment in the world and second most in India. Others are Mohenjo-daro, Harappa, Gharo Bhiro(all in Pakistan) and Rakhigarhi(in India). Dholavira afford to have ten large sized signs of the Harappan script that is indeed the oldest sign board of the world.

Tourism Activities
There are plenty of popular activities including desert safaris by jeep, camel rides and shop local handicrafts are some of the famous things to do. There are Rann of Kutch Sanctuary that preserve endangered wild ass. The nomadic people and semi nomadic people here contribute to rich art and culture of the place.

Shopping
The Embroidery garments with exquisite mirror work are the most famous one. Apart from them there are camel wool shawls, chunky silver jewelery and carved woodcraft. Villagers near Bhuj makes different types of handicraft but you need permission from the Bhuj District Collector. Some of the villages are Dhamarka (block printing), Padhar and Dhaneti (embroidery work), Anjar (tie-and-dye and block print), and Dumaro (mirror-work).
