Khirchora Gopinath TempleThis temple is located about 9km from Balasore in a small town known as Remuna. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was a seat the Vaishnavite culture during ancient period. Lord Gopinath is said to be very powerful deity. Hundreds of devotees visit this place everyday. A special condensed milk is been served to the devotees, which is prepared in the temple.
Chandaneswar
It is believed to an abode of Lord Shiva. Therefore it is popular among pilgrims from not only Orissa but also adjacent West Bengal. Chadak mela is the most famous festival in Chandaneswar in the month of April that attracts lakhs of people from all over the state.
Chandipur Beach
Just 16km from Balasore, Chandipur beach lies that is known for its calmness and security. Chandipur is one of the defense research sites of India. though less populated but not lag behind other beaches of India. Chandipur on sea is one of the longest beaches of India. you can get inexpensive but decent hotels, resorts and tourist bungalows near the beach.
Choumukh Beach
This small and less known beach is located 64km away from Balasore town. The place is not very popular among beach lovers but attract picnickers and nature lovers. During festivals like Christmas or New Year day the place is crowded with people from nearby areas. You can take bus, taxi or auto to Balipal and from there its an hour journey.
Panchlingeshwar Temple
This temple is located 30km from Balasore. It is also a revered venue for many devotees, in addition the verdant atmosphere of Nilgiri and sparkling waters of a perennial stream makes it a nice place to visit.
