Legship is another town located 26km north of Jorethang. It is the gateway to west Sikkim connecting Gezing and Pelling with the rest of the state, lies on the bank of river Rangit. The prime attraction is the large temple complex on the bank of river Rangit. People from near by villages visit the temple everyday. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and known as Kirateshwar mahadev Mandir.

Maghey Mela At Jorethang
It is the major festival of Sikkim and north Bengal that last for 6 days whose popularity beckons people from far away from eastern Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The festival showcase the culture and the traditions of Sikkim by different cultural programs, cultural shows, traditional cuisines, competitions. Maghey Mela is becoming popular every year, even last year it was recorded 5 lakh people attended the festival. The festival is held every year in the middle of January. Normally the duration of fair as long as week but it depends on local mela committee.
