India is the world's largest democratic republic. It is a country with a
very diverse population, geography and climate. Tourist facilities varying
in degree of comfort are widely available in the major population centers
and main tourist areas. The Government of India has withdrawn the temporary
landing permit facility till further notice. Hence it is compulsory that all
foreign tourists must be in possession of a valid Indian Visa.

Passports, visas, proof of onward passage and sufficient funds required of
foreign nationals. Passport must be valid for at least six months after
arrival. Reconfirm travel document requirements with carrier before
departure to India. There are no provisions for obtaining visas upon
arrival.

1) Where the proposed tour includes any point above 6000 mtrs, visa
may be given only after receiving the formal clearence from the indian
Mountaineering Federation.
2) Where the proposed tour is for areas below 6000 mtrs. the visa
applications should be accompanied by an iterary indicating days and places
to be visited along with their height, a map of the proposed area with the
distinct markings of the places to be visited and a copy of the brochure
outlining the tour highlights. These details are required to ensure that the
proposed tour does not violate the mandatory conditions laid down by the
IMF.
