There are several trips from Bakkhali to nearby places. One can take a rickshaw trip to Henry Island, watch tower etc. Also explore much of nearby villages and learn the life of fishermen. An hour north is the colorful fishing village of Namkhana.

Bakkhali BeachBakkhali beach is not like any other popular beaches in India. It is more calm and almost desolate except holidays. Though some part of the beach are crowded where you can find stalls, families strolling along the shores but most of the part has a calm exposure. To beautify the beach small stretch has been lighted up. You can cycle or driving on the beach. There are Casurina trees lined up in the surrounding, which adds further beauty and glory to the beach.
Jambu Dwip
Jambu Dwip is a small, uninhabited and forested island out in the sea. It can be reached from Fraserganj fishing harbor on a motorized country boat. The island is densely fringed by forest but there is less chance to spot any wildlife. There is another island known as Lothian that is also situated nearby. The round trip is inexpensive and takes to the islands in two hours. The boats can be hired for other destinations also.
Henry Island
Henry island can be reached in through rickshaw ride or if you have vehicle it takes only ten minutes from Bakkhali. Henry Island is a small island nearby the beach. There are two resorts where if you wish you can stay for night.
Cuisines
There are all type of eateries in Bakkhali. There are roadside joints and also some decent restaurants. Savor the taste of sea fishes serves at a reasonable rate. You can find all sort of sea fishes such as prawn, pompfret, hilsa and standard rohu i and katla.
